Let's face it: you and I both can sometimes be a little controlling.
Controlling things is a stress response.
When there's strain, people fall back on their old ways of doing things. People fall back into controlling what they're used to controlling and how they're used to controlling it.
Oftentimes, that can mean controlling money or controlling people by controlling the money.
In a recent episode of my podcast, Living a Budget, I talk through 3 scenarios:
1. The single person who doesn't want to plan because they don't want to be controlled.
2. The single person who likes to control other people with money.
3. The married couple where one person is controlling the other with money.
That last scenario can turn into financial abuse if you're not careful.
Let's talk this through and figure out what you can do about it.
